RO guide: Ash Vacuum, survival on the Splendide Fields.

A basic guide to get to the New World and survive there. If you're lucky, you might even get rich! :))

(More after the jump ->)

"The new world is a mysterious region discovered after the Satan Morroc disaster. In the wake of Morrocs revival, a strange dimensional rift appeared in the desert. The great sages of Juno came to Morroc to study the phenomenon, and have managed to create a gateway that allows users to travel to the other side.
Today an expeditionary camp has been set up by Midgart Kingdom on the other side of the gate. Exactly where the lands beyond the gateway lay are unknown, but the world is filled with creatures more dangerous than those of Midgart have previously known." - ro.doddlercon.com (source)

In this post, I will talk about the new maps in Ash Vacuum. The place is inhabited by monsters that have surpassed the maximum level of people/monsters, giving them incredible abilities. Believe me, their attacks are incredible. Though they are difficult to beat, they yield rewards that are out of this world! (excuse the pun.)

Before you can actually get there, you have to go through a short quest. The quest's requirements are quite easy, you just need 300 jellopies, an emerald, and ruby. Refer to this Link (irowiki.org) for a step by step guide on how to do it.

Then once you're done you just need to do a very short quest to enter the New World fields. Follow the steps 1 to 5 of this guide so that you can enter the Ash Vacuum fields, LINK @_@.

(I know it's kinda long, but I promise you that your efforts are worth it. :D )

So after that, you're in the clear, you can now enter the fields of Ash Vacuum. As I said a moment ago, these monsters are really dangerous, their attacks will probably kill anyone with one hit without the proper equipment. But hey, I wrote this guide to give you fighting chance.

There are two sides of the New World, there's the swamp-like forest Splendide fields, and the snowy Manuk fields. Since this would probably take long, I'm going to discuss the basic survival needs for the Splendide fields.

From the Midgard Campsite you can go to the Splendide maps by talking to the guard npc at the left side of the map, the grassy one. (By now you should've done the steps 1 to 5 of the 2nd quest.)

Before you go to the said map, I advise you to wear these equipment to survive. If you don't have all of them, I suggest that you try to get them or atleast bring a party to increase your survival chances.

The basic neccesities~
-A Raydric carded garment is a must! But if you have a Deviling garment, use that instead.

-You need two shield to survive here, a Bigfoot carded shield and an Orc Warrior carded shield. Both of these card aren't expensive and are easy to get. I'll explain why later.

-Also, you need two armors to survive the monsters' imbalanced damage. You need a Swordfish carded armor and an Evil Druid or Argriope Carded armor.

-And if possible, try to have assumptio on. The damage here will really hurt!

These are the monsters that you'll meet on the first Splendide Map:

- Pinguicula -

One of the first monsters you'll meet in the Splendide fields is the Pinguicula. It has 13,860 HP and deals 300~400 without assumptio on my character. It rare drops are Pinguicula Corsage and Whip of Balance, both aren't worth much but still rare items. Pinguicula Earth Element, Small sized, and is of the Plant Race.

- Luciola Vespa -

This one deals damage that hurts like hell. Having 25,000 HP and dealing a raw damage of 9000~9900(Can be reduced by Bigfoot Card and Raydric/Deviling Garment), this one is a major threat. To tank this guy I suggest wearing the Evil Druid or Argriope armor and the Bigfoot shield.
Because no effort is unrewarded, atleast none that I know of, he drops a ring called Sprint Ring. The ring is very valuable because of it's 10% cast time reduction ability so you might want to kill this one. Luciola Vespa is Wind Element, Medium Sized, and is of the Insect Race. (Tip: If your character is level 99, he will no longer be aggresive on you.)

Once you get to the second map of Splendide, you'll still see Luciola Vespa. But this time there are more monster's to face, and wealth to gain. @_@

- Naga -

This badass over here has a lower attack power than the Luciola, but this guy isn't a push over. He has 46,700 HP and deals a maximum of 8,800 raw damage per hit. (Again it can be reduced by the said equipment.)

If that's not enough, Naga has the waterball skill that deals massive amounts of water element damage. Using the Sword Fish Armor and Orc Warrior shield is a must against Naga. If you're using the Raydric garment only, I suggest keep assumptio on.

This guy drops Shield of Naga, Armor of Naga, and the Battle fork. The shield and the armor is quite expensive because of it's effects. Battle Fork isn't as valuable as the shield and armor of Naga but it's still rare. :D

- Cornus -

The Cornus is a passive monster, which means it won't attack unless you attack it first. He has 39,300 HP and deals 12,000~13,000 raw damage. It also uses Reflect Shield all the time and can cast Full Heal skill. It also has a lot of high damaging skills and heal disabling skills.

I suggest using a character that can kill it with one hit, Acid Bomb is a good way of killing it because of it's high vit. Extremity Fist is most likely ruled out because of the Reflect Shield. If you can't kill it with a one hit skill, it may cause trouble for you, so I suggest ignoring it. It's rare drops are Sprint Mail, Long Horn, and Angelic ring which are quite expensive. It also drops Soft Feather at a high rate, you need a hundred of them to create a Feather Beret.

BOSS TYPE MONSTER:  Tendrillion

I do not suggest you take this guy on without a party. I've tried it solo using my Lord Knight and it cost me a lot to kill it (I died several times, but thanks to Token of Ziegfried for auto resu@_@).

He has a total of 3,675,330 HP and deals a whopping 20,000~24,000 raw damage. He has a lot of high damaging that can kill you easily and disabling skills to make sure you go down. And if you leave him idle, he will cast a 30 second long full heal, making your damage and efforts disappear. ~_~

His rare drops are Leather of Tendrillion, a garment, Invoker of Death, a two hand sword, and an Eraser, a staff. All of these a very very very Expensive! (notice the amount of very's)

And if you need a team to help you take down Tendrillion, don't be shy to contact me :D I'll have a paladin and a lord knight ready for tanking/killing. Since it's 5:30am now, I'll be going now. Good luck on your adventures and have fun!
