RO post: Update on the goals

On my last post, I made some goals for the last days of the EXP mod week. It was really a shame that I wasted the earlier days because I'm a lazy bum I was busy back then, but I tried to make the most of the remaining days by cram leveling.

Let me start the post with the oldest character in the account, CarTerArsenal. He was created around the year 2005 by my dad. He was made to be a battle forger but I guess it didn't work out.

Being the oldest character, it was a bit sad to see him still being a second class character. Most of the characters on the account are already transcended. So I had to do something about it.

48 hours left (more or less), unlimited supply of potions, some rok points to spare. I only had one idea on how to get CTA to 99 in more or less 48 hours. . .

Mammonite Leveling at Thor's Volcano!!

Leveling solo at Thor's volcano is a very difficult and tiring experience. Being a second job class wasn't much of a help. Usually, the transcendant classes are the ones leveling at this map in pRO. But I read about people in iRO using second jobs and extended classes to level there. Kewl.

Ate Nayumi was the first one to tell me about the idea. She was telling me that knights can go solo at Thor's volcano, I was very skeptical about the idea since back then I didn't know much about items. Everytime I saw a Kasa, I'd be running for my life. But I ended up being killed by a single fire ball @_@. (Lesson learned, wear Fire property armor at Thor's)

So moving on, I started Sunday afternoon. The blacksmith was level 96 at 0%. I used all the buffs that I could get my hands on and charged at the volcano.

At level 96 the exp was insanely fast, it was like leveling using a level 8X blacksmith all over again. Just after a little more than an hour, I got to level 97.

Then soon after that level up, I got to 98. It was around 3am at that time, I was actually feeling the drowsiness. I guess it was time to go to sleep.

Then the next day, an announcement came up. It went something like, "Happy Holidays New Chaos!". At first I thought it was something good like they were going to extend the exp mod but then,

"Please be informed that the servers will be inaccessible on December 29, Tuesday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (max) as part of our weekly routine maintenance."

I guess it was just wishfull thinking to think LU!g would actually extend exp mod. But with this in mind, I knew I only had 1 day left.

Starting from 3 in the afternoon, with 91% to go. This is going to be twice as hard as yesterday since the required exp for 96~97 and 97~98 was no where near 98~99. It actually took me the whole day to get him to 99.

After an hour of doing that. . .

I managed to get to Mastersmith in a day (Thanks to Wayne lol). Then I just got some job levels before I went to sleep.

So that's about it. And incase you're wondering about the other guys at the first screenie, I got lazy and just level'd up using the High Merchant. So as an update on the goals,

1) I actually did this one with flying colors. From 96 Blacksmith to 71 Mastersmith in just 2 days.

2) and 3) I couldn't do because of the lack of time. (Darn LU!g) But I did the daily quest on them.

4) I just can't become any less lazy. @_@

I guess that's all. I'll be leveling again at Ice caves and try to get to 80 using the Mastersmith, bye!
